magdalena the queen, bye

Earlier this week John David Pfeiffer posted this fabulous video of Magdalena Frackowiak announcing that she will be walking in this year's Victoria's Secret show. Magdalena always manages to come across as so confident and self-assured without appearing arrogant. Her very appearance is enlightening; her versatile editorials burst with energy and sophistication.

This self-assured attitude from the 30 year-old model is expected from someone who has had a career as spectacular as hers. She has appeared in Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Love magazine and walked for Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton. The self-declared "queen" has a lot to back up that confidently applied title.

It's easy to see why Magdalena is "the queen." Aside from her enchantingly beautiful features, Magdalena "the queen" has a bubbly interesting personality- her Polish accent adds an exotic charm and when she speaks her genuine passion for what she does really comes across.

Having spent a year studying architecture at an American university in Paris, Magdalena has a keen eye for visual culture. She is currently working on her own jewellery line which is hopefully coming soon. It is evident from her personal style that this collection of her own creation will be the epitome of chic and elegant style. "It's a lot of work...because I'm doing almost everything by myself," Magdalena explained to Fashion TV in October last year with her endearing Polish lilt. "When I have free time I work on locks. I carve the locks myself so every piece that's going to be out is gonna be done by me."

Magdalena is never short of words and always makes a point of asserting her independence. She works hard and has achieved a lot; it has never just been handed to her. She can wax poetic about fashion, making her passion for it really shine through. "For me, Dolce & Gabbana is a family" she explains, tilting her head matter-of-factly, "When you think about Dolce &Gabbana you have a beautiful image of the woman in your head; a beautiful, confident woman."

Although she regularly updates her Instagram (@frackowiakmagdalena), Magdalena has not been active on Twitter for several months. This is a shame as, given her video on John David Pfeiffer's Instagram and the captions that go with her own snaps, she would be quite the social media presence.

Growing up in Gdansk, Poland, Magdalena's mother sent her photos to a Warsaw modelling agency's competition, which she won, at the age of 16. Five years later she was appearing on international runways every season. Despite appearance of her glamorous campaigns and lifestyle, Magdalena is always honest in interviews and with that she is relatable. "I'm not lonely because I always work with many people but at the end I am lonely because I go to the hotels and there is no family there," she said backstage at Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2013. When she has a day off, "it's laziness, just doing nothing."

Magdalena is married to athlete Wotjek Pastor. The couple modelled for a gorgeous campaign for jewellery company "Yes" after announcing their engagement last year. A photograph of Magdalena wearing a Chanel couture wedding dress was posted to Instagram, but taken down shortly after. Hmm...

A fashion lover, Magdalena has got to wear some of the most intricately, artistically created pieces in all the most beautiful cities in the world. Appreciating the gorgeouness of the clothes she gets to wear she said of Alessandro Dell'Acqua Autumn/Winter 2009-10, "It is a fabulous collection. I would wear it myself, on the street, right now. I would not give the clothes back. I would just get out!."

And with that, let's take a moment to appreciate Magdalena's flawless off-duty style:

Magdalena is the queen, bye.
