Autumn Trends: Fuzz

FUZZ. Big wool and shearling outfits warmed up the catwalks and I can't imagine that Anna Wintour even managed to hold up her "ice Queen" persona for very long.

Prada paired a big fuzzy coat with knee high boots and a large clutch.

There was no shortage of shearling at Marni, UGG, Ralph Lauren or Celine.

Stella McCartney, ever the animal rights activist, only used faux fur which I think is very notable of her. She is an inspiration because she refuses to crack under pressure from other designers and always makes sure that her morals and values come first both in business and (I can imagine) other forms of life. Therefore her clothing range remains eco friendly.

MY FAVE.
Fur gilet, Gap. Shirt, Primark. Skirt, originally from Miss Selfridge but I got it in a charity shop. Watch, Fruitz. Brogues, Primark.

Denim Jacket, Miss Selfridge.

I got the denim jacket for Christmas and little did I know that come winter the next year, 1970s style fur collars would be a massive trend. A lot of shops are selling fur collars to put around the top of things but I do not need one with this coat. Turns out that peter pan collars are not the only fashionable collars right now.

CATWALK FAVE.
After the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress, Alexander McQueen show left many people thinking "Would Kate Middleton wear this?" It was not the first collection since McQueen's death however the collection still has quite an eery sadness to it but luckily this does not mean that it is not beautiful. The white fluffiness makes it look very angelic. The all white trend from the spring/summer 2011 shows is brought back to life through this collection (see here  for my take on this look) which is like the opposite of the Louis Vuitton collection which was dominated by black (see here.)

BLOGGER FAVE.
From http://natasa-nataly.blogspot.com/A very '70s look which is followed with other beautiful outfits; a few of them of the fuzzy variety.

HIGH STREET FAVE.
And here is an example of one of those fur collars I was talking about for £12.99 at H&M. Love it round the top of a long coat (preferably in dark purple.)
